The demo has begun!!

March 1 was a big day in this journey.  We officially have full access to the house, as the sellers rented back the month of February.  It is also the day that the crews arrived to begin the demo process.  Time to take out the old and tired in order to make room for the new and bright.  It was so much fun to walk through and already see progress.  There was a lot of dust involved which prompted sneeze attacks from me.  Oh well...the price you pay for progress.

This will be the Eldest and the Princess's bathroom.  

The vanity is being replaced and floor too.

Tub will be refinished.

This is one of two bedrooms upstairs.  It will become a game/tv room as the Professor and Lego Master will share the other room...it is HUGE.  The Professor is most concerned about the pink and purple color scheme.  I have assured him it will become less colorful.

Carpeting gone...aka dust gone!

Goodbye turquoise baseboards!

This will be the Professor and Lego Master's bathroom.  The blue potty is going as there is another potty on the other side of that wall.  Could not see a reason to keep 2 potties!  David loved the idea as it reminded him of the fraternity house.  This vanity will go to be replaced by one double sink vanity.  Have to do something clever with that window as we will need the wall for mirror.  No worries...we will just cover it from the inside.  It will stay a window on the outside.

And there you have it.  The very beginning of our home becoming a home again!  So very excited!!!
